Chang Kiha

Chang Kiha (; born February 20, 1982) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor and radio host. He is a member of the indie rock band Kiha & The Faces. He made his acting debut in the 2013 Korean television drama ''Potato Star 2013QR3''. He is radio show host of the ''Kiha Chang's Great Radio'' broadcast by SBS Power FM since 2012.
==Background==
Kiha graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology at the prestigious Seoul National University. He then got his start in his music career as the drummer of the modern-rock group Nunco Band (눈뜨고 코베인), which formed in 2002.
He later formed the band, Kiha & The Faces. The name of the band comes from the nickname Kiha picked up as the “best-looking of the indie scene” — hence the “faces.” Kiha sings lead vocals, plays guitar and percussion, and writes the songs. “The Faces,” who all sing in the chorus, include bassist Jung Joong-yub, guitarist Lee Min-ki, drummer Kim Hyun-ho, and backup dancers Mimi Sisters.
Kiha’s popularity exploded after he put out his self-produced debut in the latter half of 2008, a single album called Cheap Coffee (싸구려 커피), which met with incredible fan response. In particular, the song The Moon is Waxing, Let’s Go (달이 차오른다, 가자).
Following that wild success, he released his official first album under the group name Kiha & the Faces. The CD came out in late February and is titled 별일 없이 산다 (“living plainly” or “living without incident”), and likewise did very well — after selling out in preorders numbering 8,000, a further 10,000 albums were pressed to meet demand.
He proceeded to win a 2009 Korean Music Awards for Netizens’ Male Artist of the Year — beating Big Bang’s Taeyang — and also walked away with Song of the Year and Best Rock Song for “Cheap Coffee.”
Not only that, but concert sales were opened at around the same time of the album’s release, and sold out in 45 minutes. The concert was attended by the likes of rock musician Lee Juck, comedienne (and actress-singer) Kim Mi-ryeo, and the CEO of Sidus FNH, Cha Seung-jae.
He would go on to release multiple hit albums with Kiha & The Faces, winning awards from the 2010 Cyworld Digital Music Awards and 2012 Korean Music Awards.
